SikaTop® Seal -107 is a two-part component, polymer-modified, cement base, waterproofing slurry. It comes in as pre-batched components, ready to use out of its package. It has good adhesion property for most substrates that are sounded. It provides protection against carbonation and water penetration into the concrete of structures. In addition, SikaTop® Seal -107 is non-toxic and non-corrosive to steel and iron, excellent for use in nearly any condition.
It is packaged as two parts, part A is a liquid polymer and additive and part B is portland cement with selected aggregates and admixtures, with a shelf life of up to 12 months from the date of production in undamaged and unopened, original, sealed package. In addition, store SikaTop® Seal -107 in cool and dry conditions away from direct sunlight and frost.
SikaTop® Seal -107 is designed for internal and external waterproofing applications, crack sealing, repair work and protection from frost in structures such as sewage and water treatment facilities, basement, cellars, terraces, balconies, retaining walls, bridges and seawalls.
Prior to SikaTop® Seal -107 application, the substrate must be well-prepared using any mechanical means such as high-pressure water jetting, needle guns, blast cleaning or scabblers, and properly pre-wetted to a proper, saturated surface dry condition. Afterwards, mix SikaTop® Seal -107 using a forced action mixer, a drill or a paddle in a clean drum.
After mixing, shake part A before using it. Pour approximately half of part A into the mixing container and add part B slowly while mixing. Then, add the remainder of part A and continue mixing until a uniformed, lump-free consistency is achieved. It is advised that the surface is pre-wetted to a saturated surface dry condition before application of SikaTop® Seal -107. As a slurry, apply the mixed SikaTop® Seal 107 either mechanically, by sprayer or by hand using a stiff brush. Afterward, apply the 2nd coat of SikaTop® Seal-107 using a brush in a crosswise direction to the first application as soon as the first coat has hardened. As a mortar, SikaTop® Seal-107 should be applied using a trowel, the product must be mixed with a 10% reduction of part A (~ 1 part A:4.5 part B). Then, apply the 2nd coat of SikaTop® Seal-107 as soon as the first coat has hardened.
For safety precautions, it is advised to use proper protective equipment when handling and using the product. It should not be disposed into the drainage system or nearby water sources and soil, properly dispose of this product according to local laws and regulations.
