Sika Grout®-214 is a non-shrink, pourable cementitious grouting mortar with extended working time to suit local ambient temperatures and a unique shrinkage compensating mechanism. It is an economical and easy-to-use material, requiring only an addition of water. Sika Grout-214 is non-metallic, non-corrosive and contains no chloride. Furthermore, it has good flow characteristic providing high strengths and adjustable consistency while providing impact and vibration resistant capability. It has a shelf life of 9 to 12 months from the date of production in unopened, original package, and it must be stored properly in cool and dry condition protected from direct sunlight and frost.
Sika Grout®-214 is mainly used in machine foundations, rail beds, structural grouting works, precast construction, anchor bolts, bridge bearings, cavities, gaps, recesses, etc. It is also used for grouting method of concrete repair.
During application of Sika Grout®-214, ensure that trapped air in the grout is allowed to escape and ensures sufficient head of pressure is maintained to keep mortar flow uninterrupted. In addition, ensure that formwork is firmly in place and watertight. The grout is then poured immediately after mixing into the prepared openings.
For safety reasons, handle this product with appropriate protective equipment and respiratory equipment. Keep in the original package or compatible containers and tightly closed when not in use. In case of an accident, seek medical attention immediately. In the case of skin contact, wash contaminated skin with plenty of water. On the other hand, flush eyes with plenty of water while occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. It is advised to seek medical attention after flushing eyes and rinsing it. Furthermore, do not empty this product and its content into water sources such as sewage drains, streams or rivers. When handling, avoid dust formation and provide adequate ventilation in the space where dust is formed. It is advised to use respiratory protection and eye protection when handling this product due to dust formation in the vicinity.
