Sikadur® -32TH

Sikadur® 32TH is a two-component, solvent-free, epoxy resin, bonding agent with thixotropic properties. It is made specifically for joining application of old and new concrete. It is easy to use and apply, while providing excellent workability even under low temperatures. Furthermore, Sikadur® 32TH is unaffected by moistures and damp space, making it highly capable on application in damp areas without reducing its efficiency. It has a shelf life of up to 12 months from the date of production in original, unopened and undamaged packaged, stored in cool and dry condition between the temperature of 0°C and +30°C.

Its bonding ability provides far greater strength than the concrete tensile strength, suitable for use wherever structural bonding of new concrete to existing one is carried out. It is suitable for use mainly on concrete and mortar; however, it can also be used with steel-reinforced concrete.

In preparation of Sikadur® 32TH application, all surfaces must be clean, sounded, and free from standing water and all loosely adhering particles. Any cement laitance must be removed by mechanical means such as sandblasting and sanding.

During mixing, mix both components together using a slow speed electric drill consistently until a smooth consistency is achieved. Afterward, apply the mixture directly to the prepared substrate by hand tools such as brush and roller or a spray. It is advised to pour concrete within the specified time so that the material is still tacky for application. Furthermore, ensures that application of Sikadur® 32TH is well brushed in on damp surfaces. The coverage of its application varies depending on the porosity of the substrate itself. Generally, it is able to cover a maximum of 0.8 kilograms per meter².

Sikadur® 32TH pot life may vary depending on the surrounding temperature, it can be applied between 20 to 90 minutes on a temperature ranging from 40°C to under 20°C respectively. Furthermore, the higher the temperature the shorter its open time is.

For safety precautions, it is advised to use proper protective equipment when handling and using the product. It should not be disposed into the drainage system or nearby water sources and soil, properly dispose of this product according to local laws and regulations.
