SikaBit Pro P40-5MG_4mm/P40-5Sand_4mm/P30-5Sand_3mm

The SikaBitPro series is a torch-on, waterproofing sheet that is highly flexible even at low temperature. It is based on APP modified bitumen, reinforced with polyester non woven fabric. It has a slate granule broadcast surface and the reverse is faced with a polyethene film to ease installation works. It provides good tensile strength and elongation during placement on concrete surfaces. SikaBitPro series is packaged as sheet rolls of 1 meters by 10 meters, and it has a shelf life of up to 4 years from the date of production. It is advised to store SikaBitPro series in cool and dry condition between 5°C to 35°C in original and unopened package and in vertical position, protected from direct sunlight, rain, snow and ice.

It is designed specifically for used in waterproofing and damp-proofing applications such as retaining walls, flat roofs, balconies, terraces and many more. In addition, it is highly suitable in multi layer installations with excellent dimensional stability and good resistant to weathering while providing long lasting effectiveness of its waterproofing membrane.

It should be noted that the substrate is cleaned, sounded and dried, free from oil and grease, dust and loose or friable particles. It is recommended to use cold-applied bituminous primer on the substrate before placing the waterproofing sheet on top of the substrate. It should be applied using a brush, roller, or airless sprayer. Sika® Bituseal T series are unrolled and ready for use after priming the substrate.

During application, roll the sheet out at half a roll length and heat the membrane in reverse using a gas torch until it melts the polyethylene film and bitumen mass. It should be noted that the torched-on membrane is firmly pressed onto the substrate using a special roller or heavy brush, as to avoid air entrapment under the sheet. Then, repeat the procedure with the second half of the roll. Furthermore, all membranes must be overlapped by at least 100 millimeters, and seams must be finished using a roller to prevent any formation of gaps and voids under the membrane.

For safety precautions, it is advised to use proper protective equipment when handling and using the product. It should not be disposed into the drainage system or nearby water sources and soil, properly dispose of this product according to local laws and regulations.
