Sika Monotop102 Waterplug

Sika® 102 is a ready-to-use, fast setting cementitious mortar with excellent hydraulic resistance and adhesion to substrate surfaces. It features fast setting time and fast strength development capabilities, providing maximum strength in a relatively short amount of time. It is highly capable of stopping leaks and pressured water leak. After setting, it doesn’t show crack and almost no shrinkage over the leak area. Sika® 102 has a shelf life of up to 6 months from the date of production if stored properly in undamaged, unopened, original package. It is advised to store Sika® 102 in cool and dry spaces away from direct sunlight and frost.

Sika® 102 is specifically made for use on stopping water leaks and seepage through rock, concrete, joints between concrete and steel, subways, culverts, tunnels, dams, basements, and swimming pools.

Prior to application, cut the concrete or rock in ‘Square-Cut’, ‘Under-Cut’, or V shape around the leaking point or crack. It is advised to remove any chipping, loose and unsound material from the prepared area. Afterward, measure the size of the cut and prepare Sika® 102 in small quantities as hardening may occur before it is completely used if mixed in a large amount.

During application, fill the freshly prepared Sika® 102 into the cut by working your way from the outside towards the center of the leak. It is advised to hold the material in place and then strike Sika® 102 off flush with the surface. Repeat the instruction until the area is sealed and no leak appeared. Furthermore, it is recommended to use a wooden plug first if water pressure is very high, which is then covered and secured with Sika® 102.

For safety precautions, it is advised to use proper protective equipment when handling and using the product. It should not be disposed into the drainage system or nearby water sources and soil, properly dispose of this product according to local laws and regulations. If not in use, seal the material in its original container protected from moist and direct sunlight.
