Villas and condominiums are popping up all across the city, particularly around the suburban area of Phnom Penh. This growth signifies the national economic boom in the past few decades. However, these types of high-rise residential building are highly prone to cracks and defects during construction. This, in turn, makes the building structure weaker and thus can’t handle the expected building load.
In this project, PBLCNT was sent to supervise the task of repairing cracks and defects that were showing throughout the building. The initial assessment of the building determined the number of cracks and defects shown. Afterward, PBLCNT’s technical staff offer the necessary solution by advising the usage of Sikadur 32 TH and Sikadur 52 TH, epoxy-based injection specifically made for filling cracks and defects in concrete and other substrates. An estimated total number of over 96 meters of cracks and defects were successfully filled and fixed within the expected schedule.
Furthermore, PBLCNT’s technical staff thoroughly examined the finished filament of epoxy-based injection and concluded that all of the existing cracks and defects have been filled and fixed up to standard within the guideline of the product.
