Sikadur® -52TH is a two-component, epoxy injection resin with low viscosity properties. It is based on high strength epoxy resins, specifically made for injection into cavities and cracks in concrete where it cures to a rigid high strength material. It is able to penetrate deep into cavities and cracks and provide excellent adhesion properties after injection. It is highly suitable for both dry and damp conditions. It has the ability to form a highly effective barrier against water infiltration and bond concrete section together, restoring original structural strength. Furthermore, it provides excellent mechanical and adhesive strength when injected into crack surfaces. Sikadur® -52TH has a shelf life of up to 12 months from the date of production in original, unopened and undamaged packaged, stored in cool and dry condition.
Sikadur® -52TH epoxy injection resin is specifically made for use in filling and sealing cavities or cracks structural components such as columns, beams, foundations, decks, and water-retaining structures. It is able to form an effective barrier against water infiltration and create a strong bond between the concrete sections, thereby restoring the concrete original structural strength. It is able to provide a tensile strength of up to 25 N/mm² and tensile adhesion strength of up to 4 N/mm² and 15 N/mm² on concrete and steel respectively.
It is advised to mix Sikadur® -52TH part A and B together using the correct ratio of 2 to 1 part by weight and volume, for obtaining the best effectiveness and proper use. Furthermore, it is recommended to inject Sikadur® -52TH into cracks with a width no larger than 5 millimeters and a minimum age of new concrete of at least 3 to 6 weeks only. The pot life of Sikadur® -52TH may vary due to temperature, so it is advised to not leave it for more than 15 minutes in an environment where temperature can go up to 40°C.
For safety precautions, it is advised to use proper protective equipment when handling and using the product. It should not be disposed into the drainage system or nearby water sources and soil, properly dispose of this product according to local laws and regulations.
