Sika Crackstop are high quality, micro monofilament, polypropylene fibers that is use
to prevent cracks due to plastic shrinkage and fire spalling, and highly durable against the
alkalinity of the concrete. It can be used in all cement-based materials such as pavements,
pre-casted concrete products, heavy-duty industrial floors, overlays shotcrete, mortar
screeds and plasters.
Sika Crackstop can be combined with other Sika products to improve the fresh setup
characteristics and the final performance of the hardened material such as Sikament,
Sikafluid and Sika viscocrete. Sika Crackstop has a long period shelf life if original package is
unopened and sheltered from moisture. When Crackstop is used, it improves the cohesion
of fresh concrete; improve impact, abrasion resistance and concrete durability. Due to their
fineness and the special surface treatment, the fibers disperse effortlessly and create a high
fiber network density, which improve the cohesion in the fresh state, limit shrinkage of
cracks and increase resistance to the effects and a better impermeability of the hardened
material.
During usage, simply add Crackstop to the concrete mixer at a rate of 1 bag per cubic
meter. A mixing time of 3 to 5 minutes is necessary to ensure the bag dissolution and
therefore a uniform fiber dispersion. Better dispension, it should be mixed into batching
after concrete aggregate crushing together with mechanism.
