Sika® Glass Mesh is a woven glass membrane, used to enhance liquid applied membrane or flexible bitumen coating on cracks and bridge performance. It is compatible with SikaTop® Seal -107, SikaTop® Seal -109 and SikaLatex® series and is packaged as 100 meters roll. It is specifically made from high-quality synthetic glass, spindled and woven into glass membrane.
Sika® Glass Mesh is generally used in applications that require strengthening and enhancement of the waterproofing materials for flexible acrylic types. Furthermore, it is used on overlapping construction joints, cracks and corner fillets.
Sika® Glass Mesh can be used after applying primer coat of Sika® Roofseal with 5 centimeter lapping in width. It is advised that the mesh is installed before the setting of the primer coat. After Sika® Glass Mesh is stuck onto the surface with the primer coat, apply a second coat and third coat to ensure stickiness on the surface. It should be noted that the primer coat must be diluted with water with a ratio of 3:1, The setting time of Sika® Roofseal is approximately 2 hours.
For safety precautions, it is advised to use proper protective equipment when handling and using the product. It should not be disposed into the drainage system or nearby water sources and soil, properly dispose of this product according to local laws and regulations.
