Sikafloor® 263 SL HC is a two-part, multipurpose binder based on epoxy resin. Advantage: It is easy to use and apply, and highly fillable and liquid proof with a glossy finish. It provides good chemical and mechanical resistance. It is used as a self-smoothing and broadcast systems for concrete and cement screeds with normal up to medium and heavy wear such as storage and assembly halls, maintenance workshops, garages, loading ramps, etc. Furthermore, the broadcast system is recommended for a multi-story and underground structures such as car parks, maintenance hangars, and wet process areas.
Sikafloor® 263 SL HC is packaged in two sets of 15 kilograms and 20 kilograms, with a shelf life of 24 months from the date of production. It is advised to store it in a cool and dry condition at temperatures between +18 °C and +30 °C.
Prior to application, make sure that the concrete substrate must be sound and of sufficient compressive strength, with minimum pull-off strength of 1.5 N/mm². It must be clean, dry, and free of any contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, coatings and surface treatments, etc. Weak concrete must be removed and surface defects such as blow holes and voids must be fully exposed. Repairs to the substrate, filling of blowholes/voids and surface leveling must be carried out using appropriate products from the Sikafloor®, Sikadur® and Sikagard® range of materials. Furthermore, concrete or screed substrate has to be primed or leveled in order to achieve an even surface. All dust, loose and friable material must be completely removed from all surfaces before application of the product, preferably by brush or vacuum.
Sikafloor®-263 SL HC must be thoroughly mixed using a low-speed stirrer (300 – 400 rpm) or other suitable equipment. It is advised that a continuous, pore-free coat cover the substrate. Then, apply Sikafloor® -161 HC by brush, roller or squeegee. In addition, as a wearing course smooth, Sikafloor®-263 SL HC is poured, spread evenly by means of a serrated trowel. After spreading the material evenly, turn the serrated trowel and smooth the surface in order to achieve an aesthetically higher grade of finish. Roll immediately in two directions with a spiked roller to ensure even thickness.
For safety precautions, it is advised to use proper protective equipment when handling and using the product. It should not be disposed into the drainage system or nearby water sources and soil, properly dispose of this product according to local laws and regulations.
